Double Trouble Competition (club pairs)

First round to be played by 8th of February. 

Match 1. Ro Otten & Bev Harris v John White & Hilary Thompson.

Match 2. Liz Thompson & Chris Wainwright  (3) v Alec Martel & Graham Perkins  (13)

Match 3. Margaret Alexander-Brown & Allan Fawcuss (11) v Martin Edge & Dave Harrison (13)

Match 4. Harry Ellens & Pat Quirke (13) v Hazel Harrison & Les Mondry-Flesch (1)

RULES OF THE COMPETITION

1. The competition is open to all paid up club members but limited to the first 16 to apply.

2. The pairings are made by randon draw.

3. The first named in each match pair team are responsible for arranging the match between them.

4. The matches can be played at any time and on any day of the month of that round.

5. The exception to rule 3 is that the final must be played on a club day Tuesday.

6. Matches must be completed by the end of their match round date.

7. Results of matches with scores, to be sent to Alec by the winner.

8. If desired, two practice ends can be played before the start of the match.

9. Substitutes are not permitted.

10. Decisions of the organiser are final but can, as usual, be influenced with two fifty pound notes (I know it was only one last year but inflation, tax etc. know what I mean?)

9. Irrespective of how cold the temperature may be on the day of a match, gentlemen are not permitted to   wear string vests on the terrain nor indeed within 500 yards of it. Surreptitious sips of a bracing spirit from a hip flask are encouraged.
