RULES OF THE COMPETITION

 

 

1. The competition is open to all paid up club members.

2. The first named in each match pair is responsible for arranging the match.

3. The matches can be played at any time and on any day of the month of that round.

4. The exception to rule 3 is that the final must be played on a club day Tuesday.

5. Matches must be completed by the end of their match round month.

6. Results of matches with scores, to be sent to Alec by the winner.

7. If desired, two practice ends can be played before the start of the match.

8. Substitutes are not permitted.

9. Irrespective of how high the temperature may be on the day of a match, gentlemen are not permitted to   wear budgie smugglers or string vests and knotted hankies on the terrain nor indeed within 500 yards of it.

10. Decisions of the organiser are final but can, as usual, be influenced with two fifty pound notes (I know it was only one last year but inflation, tax etc. know what I mean?)
